  Taniya -TANIYA-

  Located in the old town area of Hida Takayama, the Kusakabe Family Residence is an important cultural property that has been built as a merchant's townhouse for 13 generations. It is a valuable building that still exists. "Taniya" is a renovated townhouse adjacent to the Kusakabe Folk Crafts Museum.

  Private lounge

  After the Kusakabe Mingeikan is closed, you can enjoy the Kusakabe Mingeikan as a lounge that can only be used by Taniya customers. Please enjoy the Kusakabe family residence at night, which is normally not accessible. The concierge will prepare a special space according to your wishes, such as drinking local sake around the hearth.

  Exclusive guided tour

  Starting from Taniya, we have prepared activities unique to Taniya that guide you through the profound charm of Hida. We will of course guide you through the town of Hida Takayama, as well as arrange original private tours of the surrounding natural environment. Taniya original tour example ◆ Visit a woodcutter who lives in the mountains and enjoy the blessings of the mountains together ◆Enjoyable time spent at the home of a practitioner of “living with the mountains” ◆ Visit the shrine carpenter who carves the "scepter" held by His Majesty the Emperor, etc... Details of each tour will be provided directly by the concierge after booking. In addition, if you have any requests for places you want to go or things you want to experience, please let us know in advance. We will arrange a custom-made plan that meets your needs as much as possible. * Due to the arrangement of activities, we will close the reception of the plan with experience at least 7 days before the date of stay. Also, during the year-end season (December 21st to January 10th), the experience plan will be closed. *You can also choose not to participate in the tour. There is no refund for that amount.
